Hats with
attitude
When travelling the Rockies
searching for the best skiing around,
professional free skiers Kaj Zackrisson and
Sverre Liliequist spent day in, day out in
their minivan going from Aspen to Whistler.
They had some time to kill!
Sverre was looking for a way to make
the time pass and also to find a beanie with
the right look. Luckily Sverre mastered the
noble art of crocheting. His handicraft
infected his brother in arms, Kaj, and soon
an underground cult took off. Beanies in all
shapes came out from the van and spread
among their friends.
The KASK beanie was soon seen on the heads
of ski bums, professional skiers throughout
the best ski resorts all over the world. The
beanies didn't look like anything else ever
seen in these circumstances before. KASK
went from odd souvenir to being the smartest
thing you could put on your head.
